Andrea Kuro
Founder, Managing Principal
Andrea Kuro is the founder and Managing Principal of Summit Accounting and Tax. With over 20 years of experience in the accounting profession, Andrea leads the firm with a strong focus on operational excellence, scalable systems, and long-term client relationships. She is actively involved in overseeing day-to-day operations and working closely with clients to help them gain clarity and confidence in their financial decisions.
Andrea holds a Master’s degree in Accounting and is a QuickBooks ProAdvisor. She began her career in public accounting before building a long-standing career in private industry, including serving in CFO roles, where she developed deep expertise in financial strategy and business operations. She is currently pursuing her CPA license to further enhance her professional credentials.
A lifelong resident of Enumclaw, Andrea lives with her husband and two children. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors hiking and skiing with family and friends.
Melissa Franz
Client Manager
Melissa Franz is a Client Manager at Summit Accounting and Tax, where she works closely with clients to support day-to-day accounting needs and maintain strong, trusted relationships. She plays an important role in ensuring clients receive consistent, responsive service and serves as a key point of contact within the firm.
As a lifelong resident of Enumclaw, Melissa resides with her husband and three dogs. Her two children have grown into young men. Beyond her professional responsibilities, Melissa takes pleasure in outdoor pursuits like mountain biking and exercise. Presently, she and her husband are engaged in the exciting project of building a second home on the Methow River.
Samantha Whitman
Client Manager
Samantha Whitman is a Client Manager at Summit Accounting and Tax, where she partners with clients to manage ongoing accounting needs and support reliable, day-to-day service. She is closely involved in client communication and helps ensure work is completed accurately, on time, and in alignment with firm processes.
Residing in the Orting area, Samantha shares her home with her husband and two children. Beyond her professional commitments, she enjoys managing her small hobby farm, gardening, baking, and cherishing outdoor experiences such as camping with her family.
